Know your Client, Anti-Money Laundering & Payout Management Procedures
This document is designed to satisfy KYC, Fraud and Payout procedures for any player registering with Africa Gaming & Entertainment Ltd .for the purpose of depositing, withdrawing and placing bets.
Africa Gaming & Entertainment Ltd. operates a betting service under a remote gaming license issued in Ghana .In accordance with good practice and the remote gaming regulations all players are to be registered before any bets can be placed.
Africa Gaming & Entertainment Ltd. offers its sports betting contract via its website (www.safaribetting.com) .Players registering on the web site are required to be verified and payouts adequately managed. Attention must be given to the possibility of fraud arising from stolen credit cards, identity and also money laundering activity. Consequently, these procedures must be strictly followed by the Africa Gaming & Entertainment Ltd. staff.
. Players registering on the Safaribetting.com web site are required to submit the following information:
Date of Birth
ID document number
Valid Email Address
Security Question and Answer
User Name and password
Whether they would like to receive Marketing Material
Upon the customer inserting all this information his account will be automatically opened.
This system will carry out automated checks on the following fields for each new registration:
Date of Birth
The checks will be carried out to identify potential duplicate accounts and also inconsistencies in information provided.
Any inconsistencies in data provided will not permit the account to be opened until Customer Support carry out further checks and /or request further information to confirm the authenticity of the new registration.
The checks on the email address is carried out by an automatic email being generated and sent to player who will be required to click on an activation link before the account is opened .
Check on the ID number and IP address field will also include checks for duplicate accounts. A further report will be generated on a weekly basis to identify potential duplicate accounts. This report will be manually reviewed and action taken as required.
Checks on the Date of Birth are made to ensure that the player is over 18 years of age.
County code checks are made together with the IP address for consistency.
Deposits can only be effected from accounts in the name of the player.
Payment gateway back office can be used to check information’s .If in doubt block the account until the player provides adequate evidence about ID.
Bank transfers can be made for any amount as long as they originate from an account in the player’s name.
Frequent large deposits are also to be treated with caution, and in these cases the player should be asked to verify the details submitted during registration.
Bank transfers will be credited to player’s account only once confirmation of receipt of funds is made. Customer support are regularly check the player account for such transfers. The Customer’s account should be credited within a maximum of 2 working days upon receiving funds if the back transfer was made on time.
Player Verification and Payouts
Safaribetting reserve the right to verify a player’s identity at any time. However, unless there are inconsistencies in data provided or money laundering suspicions, player verification would normally occur at withdrawal stage. A player can also choose to send in required documents online using the feature provided in My Account / Personal Details.
Copies of the scanned documents received will be available on the system and linked to the respective player. The scanned images are included in the back up procedure.
Payouts will only be made once the age, identity and address of the player have been adequately verified.
Payouts will only be made to an account in the name of Player and where possible to the account from where the funds originated.
Payouts are to be made within 3 – 5 working days from receipt of the request from the player. Consequently, Customer Support is to monitor, on a daily basis, the withdrawal request from the bank office and commence actioning them immediately.
ANTI MONEY LAUNDERING ( AML ) PROCEDURES
In order to reduce the possibility that our operation is used as a medium to launder money, withdrawals are always paid out to the same account used deposit whenever possible. We will however protect ourselves by only accepting withdrawals payable to a bank account in the name of the player as well as by carrying out KYC procedures on our players.
Safaribetting is to investigate any suspicion or report of money laundering activity in order to ensure that no such activities are being carried out through the operation.
All withdrawals from unverified players must be checked before being processed. Where it becomes clear that a player never had the intention to carry out any betting activity with us, the player will be informed that funds will not be processed until his identity, age and place of residence is verified and/or a period of at least three months has elapsed.
The definition of money laundering also includes funds wagered that were derived from criminal activity. Consequently, we are also obliged to identify high rollers and if necessary, and possible, provenance of funds. However, this level of authentication will only be carried out where players exceed €20.000 per month in deposits.
Safaribetting shall provide the necessary training for its personnel in anti-money laundering and fraud procedures.
All personnel must report any suspicion of money laundering to the MLRO.
The personnel shall affect all Money Laundering Reports through its MLRO, who will in turn escalate the reports as necessary.
